Abstract Expressionist Series: Love, Faith and Despair.
The meaning of the term "Balance of Power" can be
interpreted differently. On the one hand it is a term used to describe the political and military balance of power between nation-states and alliances to which they belong. But in a figurative sense, it
also means a balance of spiritual forces and strengths. To illustrate this theme, I used finely-drawn, powerful sweeping lines and shapes and a delicate, sensitive transparent color surface. To achieve
the fine color deepness and the painting like quality of the image it has been comprehensively reworked with Photoshop. The fine translucence and subtle color gradations are an outstanding feature of all
of my abstract expressionist work.
